Three-lined salamander (Eurycea guttolineata)

Secretive, long salamander reaching up to 7.78 inches in total length. Dorsum ranges from tan to yellow with a prominent mid-dorsal stripe or extended spots. Ventral surface is heavily spotted with dull yellow to olive green markings. Tail generally makes up sixty percent of body length and is long and slender. Inhabits slopes adjacent to bottomlands, bottomlands, ditches, seepages, and other similar habitat. Very little is known about the reproduction of this species. Females lay eggs in late fall and early winter. Species occurs in the Florida Parishes of Louisiana.
