Richard H. Day, M.A. 1990. Marine Science, University of Texas at Austin. Mangrove ecology, forested wetland ecology, wetland primary production, water quality, remote sensing.

Day is currently working on several projects in forested wetlands: factors affecting growth rates of mangrove species in Florida and Mexico; functions of riparian wetlands regarding riverine water quality; and aerial photointerpretation of forest tree gaps. Previous work involved studying the spectral response of wetland vegetation for remote sensing applications at a landscape scale. His research also included tidal inundation frequencies and the areal extent of tidal inundation using remote sensing.
